My Story
With Bernie Marsden ( Ex Whitesnake Guitarist During the 2013 Recording sessions
I'm Guna Sekhar, a dedicated sound designer and music producer whose love for sound began at an early age. Music has always been a central part of my life, and I had the privilege of working with renowned artists from a young age, which shaped my foundation in sound and production.
As I grew, my love for gaming and film deepened, and I realized how transformative sound could be in these mediums. Sound has the unique power to elevate visuals and immerse audiences into new worlds, and this revelation pushed me into the film and gaming industries. Combining my passion for music and sound with the immersive landscapes of games and movies felt like a natural evolution.
In the early stages of my career, I dove into gaming projects, dedicating myself to sound design and music production for various games. Crafting soundscapes that brought virtual environments to life was a thrill I couldn’t describe. Over time, I refined my skills and explored new ways to evoke emotions, helping players feel truly connected to the worlds they were engaging with.
For the past nine years, I have served as a sound engineer and instructor at the American Embassy School in New Delhi, India. This role has allowed me to share my knowledge with aspiring sound designers and producers, all while continuing my work in AV systems and live event audio management. It has been incredibly rewarding to teach, mentor, and pass on my expertise to the next generation of audio professionals.
While I enjoy my current role, my heart is set on returning to the dynamic world of game sound design. There’s something electrifying about creating audio experiences that not only complement gameplay but heighten every interaction. I’m driven by the challenge to push creative boundaries and develop soundscapes that leave lasting impressions on players.
In summary, I’m a sound designer, music producer, and AV expert who has journeyed from performing and producing music to shaping immersive sound in gaming. As I look ahead, I’m excited to bring my passion and experience back to game audio, creating exceptional, unforgettable soundscapes that enhance player experiences.
